Chasing Spiders

troll outside

I live on the outskirts of a small mid-western town, surrounded by corn fields, cows and nature.

The picture of the cement gnome above can be by anyone’s front door, or is it my front door? Did I plant the marigolds and find the mushroom (yes, it is real) on one of my walks?

I am a writer, and a lover of nature. I write about what I see. Perspective is everthing!

The term “Green living” for me, is a way of life. I have gardened for years without  using chemicals on my lawn, flowers, or vegetables. I will write about what I see and do and learn, on my little piece of land- living outside a city.

I have owned dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs. At this time, I have one dog, Uriah, and three indoor cats.

I have literally ‘ran’ into skunks, coyotes, deer, foxes, raccoons  and some,  “I have no idea what that is!” Animals and insects and an odd human, or two.

A couple of years ago I started a new vegetable garden, which means it is now all in one spot- sort of…

I am a writer and a lover of nature. I write about what I see. Perspective is everything

If it works, great! If not, I’ll try something else. I love poetry so that will be included in my writing.

Don’t be surprised if my imagination takes over and some short stories creep in here and there.

      Thank you for stopping by.

Sounds like a pretty good life, Gerardine. Welcome to the garden bloggers world and thanks for visiting me.

You might be interested in posting a poem, musing or short post on the first of each month for the Garden Bloggers’ Muse Day ( GBMD ) I sponsor. If you want to participate just post on your blog then visit my blog and leave your comments.

There is also a Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day on the 15th of each month, sponsored by Carol at http://www.maydreamsgardens.blogspot.com that is very popular. Since we’re in a cold climate we post on indoor gardening as well.

Enjoyed reading your posts.
