The very first spring I lived here I had a problem with Bumble Bees. For some weird reason anytime I step outside they have to hit me on the head. Most people think I’m crazy. Now that may bee.. 🙂
All I can say is it is a very weird thing to watch. Most people can’t stop laughing when they see it. I really want to file a grievance with the Bee community!
I haven’t been headbutted, yet, this year. I will let you know when it happens…
This picture was taken this Monday afternoon. Can you see what, or who is sitting in the corner of the outside window?
I had walked away, then turned and took another picture. Can you see he moved to the opposite side of the window?
Here is a close up of Sano…
Here is a close up of who was sitting the window. Yes, I know! This window need painting. I need a hard hat!

thank you! I will stop by and pick it up.

I had a problem with bees too last summer, but the manager of the apartment sent someone out to spray something on the hived, and we haven’t seen one since.
Viola,
The bumbles don’t brother me, they only sting if they are threatened. The yellow jackets are another story.
I hope you don’t have a bee problem this year.
Have a great week!

I have gotten head-butted by bees several times, most recently a few years ago when I was mowing the lawn. It took a few times before I realized that the thing that kept flying into my head was a bee, and shortly thereafter I realized that a swarm was about to pass through, at which point I stopped mowing the lawn and ran for cover until it passed.
Dennis the Vizsla,
That could have been very painful and dangerous. I am happy to hear you were able to run from them.
Bee safe:-)
Gerardine
oh goodness, they are waiting for that head butt huh? lol
Lily,
Silly Bumble Bees! They are good for a laugh.
Have fun week!

It has been so long since I have seen a bumble bee, I kinda forgot they exsisted. Sorry they keep messing with you, maybe they think you smell like a flower.
Love Sano in the window. Too cute!
Heather,
I thought that too. I try not to wear yellow in the summer:-)
Gerardine
Sano look like he is contemplating some mischief!
I love bumblebees! Maybe because I’ve never been stung by one, but they just seem to have a very relaxed life. Although I have seen some BIG ones! Hope they stay away from your head ;o)

Beautiful Mess,
Yes he does. He caught another mouse today, #3 he is so happy.
Bumblebees won’t sting unless they are being killed. they die right after they sting. I am wearing a hat from now on:-)
Have a great day!
Gerardine *HUGS*
Those bees can be scary – and that’s one inquisitive cat 🙂
anthonynorth,
I hate the yellow jackets they can keep on stinging.
Gerardine
I guess a head butt from a bumble bee is better than a sting!
suzicate,
You are very right!
